Mission Slideshow

Browse our Mission Slideshow to get a feel for the CLCofMe mission experience- then tell your teacher your class is ready to go on a mission!

← When you come with your class to the CLC of Maine, it's not just another field trip.

You get to be an astronaut and work in the Space Station on a special mission. →

← You might get to work as a navigator, locating your position in space amongst the stars.

Or you may become a scientist on board, doing research in the glovebox. →

← Or maybe you'll be one of the engineers in Mission Control making sure everything operates properly on the Space Station.

It takes the work of the entire crew to make the mission a success. A space station doesn't operate itself! →

← If a problem arises, it will be up to you and your teammates to come up with a solution.

"Mission Control, this is the space station. I have a message for the entire crew." →

← "Ok, so part number PN 613 goes on the probe on the bottom and in the middle. Is that correct?"

"It's hard to work in the glovebox. But it's fun!" →

← "I just have to move... this meteor shield... over... a little more... to the right... and then I've got it." →

"I just received a message from Mission Control saying that I need to dispose of oxygen filter C in the hazardous waste container." →

← "Mission Control just said that if all of the lights on the probe don't come on, we need to figure out what to do to fix it."

"I learned that communicating clearly between Mission Control and Space Station was really important!" →

← "That was awesome!"
