Current Projects Recent Projects “Understanding Climate Change”: A 5.5 day workshop for Middle School Science teachers integrating ongoing Climate and Ocean research topics at U. Maine with content and activities for the g.5-8 classroom. This project was funded over 3 years (1 y. development, 2 y. implementation) by a NASA New Investigator Program in Earth Science grant awarded to Prof. Deirdre Byrne in the U. Maine School of Marine Sciences.“Satellite Investigations”: A single-day workshop for 20 teachers working with “My NASA Data” and “NASA Earth Observatory” as tools for exploring satellite data, making connections between the Earth’s systems, and developing a broader understanding of the applications of space-science technology. Single day workshop offered at 4 locations around the state.
