To build awareness about Challenger's mission to inspire Maine students AND raise important funding to support same, the Challenger Learning Center of Maine is holding its 4th Annual Astronauts Ball on Friday, June 24th! We appreciate your help in spreading the news ... and we hope that you will join the fun!

Dr. Scobee Rodgers has recently published her inspiring life story, "Silver Linings: My Life Before and After Challenger-7." June is the widow of Challenger Commander Dick Scobee and Founding Chairman of the Challenger Center for Space Science Education. Her keynote address is not to be missed! Half of the proceeds from book sales (June will sign copies) will be donated to the Challenger Learning Center of Maine!

Former astronaut Rick Hauck piloted the Space Shuttle Challenger in 1983. STS-7 was the seventh shuttle mission and the second for Challenger. STS-7 was also the first American spaceflight involving a female astronaut.
As part of the grand prize raffle, "Lunch with an Astronaut," Rick is donating personal souvenirs from the STS-7 mission for the winner - a priceless gift! Come and listen to Rick as he shares stories from his amazing career.

Indulge, Dance and Be Merry!
Dance to the lively music of Brian Catell and Jump City Jazz, feast on a spellbinding selection of planetary hors d'oeuvres - including a lunar mashed potato bar; enjoy signature cocktails at the cash bar - Tang-tinis, Cosmic-politans, and (new!) Sublime Neptunes.
Bring a little extra spending money for opportunities to win one of two grand prizes: A trip to Orlando for two (courtesy Allegiant Air), or Lunch with Astronaut Rick Hauck! 50/50 Aliens will also give you a chance to win cash. All proceeds benefit Challenger Learning Center of Maine. Good luck and thank you for your generosity!
