Challenger Learning Center of Maine is glad to announce the continuation of the first Tuesday of the month homeschooler science workshop for the 08-09 school year!

Rocketry
October 7, 2008

Build and launch a rocket powered by water.

Astronaut Life
November 4, 2008
Come learn how astronauts use robotics.
Make a simple robotic arm and use our glovebox.

Circuitry
December 2, 2008
Design your own game using simple curcuits.

Magnetism
January 6, 2009
Come find out about how magnets work and how they impact the Earth.

SPECIAL EVENT for Homeschoolers!

Come be a mission controller and an astronaut taking part in our new mission simulation!
Appropriate for grades 4 and up, or grade 3 with an adult.
Time: 9-11am
Cost: $15 per participant

Program Info:

All programs run from 9-11am.
Programs are facilitated by certified teachers.
Programs are appropriate for grades 3-8.
Children in grades K-2 can participate if accompanied by an adult.To help us appropriately plan ahead for workshops we greatly encourage pre-registration.
